June 4 update:

Collaborating with the local communities and tapping into the generous support of JumpStart, Sport Central, Gen7 and Alex Stieda, we’re developing bike programs across Canada.

Sport Central in Edmonton has already provided 60 bikes for Maskwacis youth and next is Enoch. Alex Stieda is helping launch a pump track at Enoch which is a very cool BMX type track.

Since early May, I’ve been been talking to the dedicated staff at Chief Julius School in Fort McPherson and community leaders about bike & ski programs. Similar discussions are now taking place in Inuvik.

In Ontario, we now have a number of First Nations communities that have applied thru Gen7 who will in turn request bikes from JumpStart.
