A 7,000 km journey in support of Aboriginal youth fitness

About the Y

The YMCA is one of Canada’s oldest and most diverse charities – since our beginnings in 1851, the YMCA continues to serve all ages, backgrounds and abilities through all stages of life.  The YMCA is dedicated to helping everyone reach their potential. We believe that every child, teen, young adult, and family should be able to participate in programs that help them realize the best in themselves. The YMCA offers financial assistance to those who would otherwise be unable to afford the benefits from proven programs and services.

The YMCA is about building healthy communities. We are committed to improving the lives of children, teens and young adults – giving them the opportunities they need to live healthier, happier lives now, but also to grow into productive adults.  We provide safe places, caring and trained volunteers, staff and programs that teach life skills. Whether a place to go after school, a place to learn leadership skills or a place for a family to play and connect, the YMCA is here for everyone to realize their potential.
